Shadows of Amn > Sewers under Copper CoronetSewer under the Copper Coronet (AR0404)*
If you want to see the traps on this level, hover your mouse over SHOW TRAPS. ExitRight near the entrance to the sewers you shall find a small barrel with some gold in it. Check out the barrel near the stairs. HobgoblinsFurther down the corridor you will be attacked by a small group of Hobgoblins. Kill them to move on. Kill the Hobgoblins to move on. Sewer GrateThis circular room has a big stinky Otyugh and some Jellies. After you dispose of them you can click on the circular sewer grate to obtain an interesting item - a Hand. Beware though, the character who picks up will take some damage so do not send a nearly dead character to pick up the item. You will need this Hand to solve the Pool riddle. Kill the Otyugh and check out the sewer
grate. The SkeletonsHere you shall find the skeletons of two lovers who lie entwined in each others arms. On one of the fingers you shall find a ring that you will need to solve the Pool riddle. SKELETONS: The Lover's Ring. StairsThese stairs lead to a Myconid colony. The stairs are guarded by a Mustard Jelly. Do not forget to check out a barrel for a gold piece. Kill the Jelly and check out a barrel. BridgeIn order to get across the smelly sewage waters you'll have to walk over the trapped door thrown over the sewer waters. Beware, this dor is trapped though. Disarm the trap on the bridge and kill the
carrion crawler nearby. Kobold ShamanHere you will find a Kobold Shaman and his kin. He tells you to leave him alone or face his wrath. You'd need to kill him in order to get one of the four keys necessary for the Pool riddle. Kill the Kobolds. HobgoblinsMore Hobgoblins here. Send them to a better place. Kill the Hobgoblins to move on. Quallo There is a trap on the way to this room, right on the
T-section. In this room you will find Quallo with his strange friend - the
Carrion Crawler. Quallo will give you brief information about the mysterious
blade. He'll tell you to find clues in the
Glowing Pool room. These clues
should be placed in the correct order. In particular he'll say the following
about the clues: The talk about Vallah's Hand and its "prime importance" is probably a word play with "prime" relating to prime numbers (the ones having only one and itself as divisors). This limits the Hand to numbers 2 or 3 only, do these numbers imply order of placement or number of the pipe, or both? Shaman's Staff apparently should be placed last. Well, technically you will not have to select what item to place into the pipe, you will just have to click the pipes in the correct order. If you'd like to see what this order is, then hover your mouse over ORDER. You'll have to kill Quallo's friend, the Carrion Crawler, in order to obtain its blood. Disarm the trap on the way to Quallo's room
and check out the meager contents of it (barrel and a table). Glowing Pool When you approach these weird looking pipes, a strange
voice will sound in your head. The voice will tell you to find the four keys.
The keys will open the four wards and they need to be broken in proper order,
the voice also tells you to find Quallo - more can be learned from him. If you start placing the items in the pipes in the wrong order, the character doing it will take some minor damage and you will have to restart the whole process of placement. When you place the last item, the Shaman's Staff, the riddle will be solved and each party member will receive some nice experience and a strange talking sword - Lilarcor. SOLVE THE RIDDLE: Each party member gains 18000 exp, Gain Item: Lilarcor. StairsThese stairs lead to a secret entrance to a Slaver Stockade. The Hidden This apparently human appears in this place if you are on
Jan Jansen's quest to heal Jaella. When you speak to the Hidden it will be easy
enough to ascertain that 'it' doesn't like Uncle Gerhardt. The Hidden will not
be willing to answer questions especially about the Enlightened Ones and about
Uncle Gerhardt. The Hidden senses what quest you are on and will agree to help
you if you do him a favor. His task lies in killing two creatures that hunt him. When you do the dirty and return to report, the Hidden will say that the girl is healed. Your attempts to question him further will fail, although the Hidden will reveal itself as a Mind Flayer and depart. You will get a small experience reward for finishing this quest. However, if you are fast enough - you can kill the bastard before he gets away - no more meddling in children's minds. At this point you can return to Jan Jansen's house in the Slums. KILL THE GITHYANKI: 17500 exp; The Myconid Colony (AR0418)
This small area is a Myconid colony. There is a Minotaur's corpse here, it seems that he stumbled into a wrong area. Nothing special can be found here. Kill the Myconids and check out the
Minotaur's corpse.
